The report is devoted to investigation of current standing of market of railway flat cars in the CIS and forecast of its development. The report is composed of 5 Sections, contains 70 pages, including 21 Figure, 35 Tables and Appendix.
The report is a desk research. As information sources, we used data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia (Rosstat), Federal Customs Service of Russia, State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, State Customs Service of Ukraine, official railage statistics of JSC «RZHD» (Russia), sectoral and regional mass-media, yearly and quarterly reports of enterprises, as well as web-sites of enterprise-producers and consumers of flat cars.
The first Section of the report presents classification and gives characteristics of railway flat cars, manufactured in the CIS.
The second Section of the report is devoted to analysis of the production statistics for 2001 – 2007. The Section presents data on production of railway flat cars in Russia and Ukraine, describes current standing of main producers of flat cars.
The third Section of the report is devoted to analysis of foreign trade operations in flat cars in Russia and Ukraine in 2001-2007.
The fourth Section of the report describes consumption of flat cars in Russia, Ukraine, as well as in Kazakhstan. The Section presents change of flat cars fleet in Russia for 2001-2007, as well as describes the main consumers of flat cars in Russia, namely, JSC «RZHD» and private transport companies. It presents detailed data on transportation of flat-rolled steel in flat cars.
The fifth, final Section of the report presents forecast of development of the main sector-consumer of flat cars (ferrous metallurgy) and forecast of consumption in Russia up to 2011.
Appendix presents addresses and contact information on the main enterprise-producers of flat cars.
